We had a 15 inch TV in our kitchen, but it was bulky and took up a lot of room on the counter even though it was small. This Sharp 19 inch is streamlined and fits well along the back of our countertop. There is a little lag when you change channels but I was expecting this from reading other reviews pretaining to this TV. It does not appear to be a problem. The clarity of picture is good as well as the sound. My grandkids enjoy sitting at the breakfast bar watching this TV. We also plan on putting this Sharp TV in our travel trailer when we travel over a period of time. It is compact and the portability will make it convenient to take along on vacation. We are well pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone. I was a little apprehensive with having it shipped, but it arrived in great conditions and was extremely well packed. A great little TV for a great price. Thanks Amazon.

First big ticket item I've ordered sight unseen. Delivery was fast and within the provided time window. Rated 4 stars just because I haven't had it that long, and I'm unfamiliar with other models. The set meets or exceeds all of my expectations. I got an "S" panel.

Pros: The picture is very crisp even in standard definition and lower frequencies. The HD sometimes has an almost 3D effect. I've never had HD before so it's like a whole new world. I'm no audiophile, so the stock speakers/sound is sufficient. Even at relatively low sound levels (ie 10-15, which is maybe 25% of the max volume), it's loud and clear. Plenty of inputs (3 or 4 HDMI, component, RCA, USB, VGA, etc), and the panel is set up so all are easily accessible. Didn't notice much of an upgrade w/ my Xbox 360 when plugged into componenet, but on HDMI it brought out so much detail and color (note: may not have anything to do with the TV, I don't know). The menus are relatively straight forward. The finish and look is nice as well. I got a clear base stand which looks good, almost like the set floats over the base. It's light enough for a 1-man carry.

Cons: The remote is quite bulky and slightly confusing, imo. I won't use it much anyway. The power input could be lower and more centralized, the port is situated far to one side, so you may need a longer cord for your situation. For whatever reason, the string/screw that tethers the set from falling forward simply doesn't fit (have tried all the holes). That's really it thus far.

Other: Don't be afraid to tighten the screws down hard with the plastic base. I was worried about cracking the plastic, and the result was the set wobbled left and right. Had to take it apart again and tighten them down more. I do wish the tether worked, but that's very minor. It's definitely worth the money.

This was my first flat screen. After about 2 weeks of online research and visiting many stores. I chose this one. The unit is in a small room and is not my primary TV (but it should be). Great picture and sound, easy to set up. I use it for both general viewing and gaming. I have not experienced power cord issues as have been mentioned in other reviews. It arrived on time at a great price from Amazon. I did connect a set of computer speakers w/subwoofer, but it was more for a rumble effect while gaming. I think the internal speakers are the best I have ever heard.

This is the best tv I have bought yet. I actually think the remote control is superior to the one that came with our other tv, and I don't notice the time lag in changing channels being much different from the Samsung. I have not yet used the DVD player (other than testing to make sure it works), but I predict I will use it a lot when I am staying in our family room. I was pleased to be able to purchase a name-brand TV at a fair price, and I would definitely recommend the Toshiba to anyone who is looking for a small, easy-to-relocate television. I purchased this small Toshiba TV to replace the old one in our family room. I had also been considering buying a small TV for our den. This is the perfect size for both locations. So far, I have only used it in the bed room, but it fits well on the counter and I am very pleased with the picture and sound quality.

I have had this TV for about 2 months and really am enjoying it. It has a great picture and color clarity. Works well with DVD, VHS, blu-ray/ PS3, wii, and a computer hooked up. I have all of this hooked up constantly and there were plenty of different types of ports to make it all work. The only negative is the menu system. For some things you have to go through 3 or 4 screens to get to the setting that you want. Not a huge deal, but it could be better.

I received my ViewSonic on 6-7-10> Started to Set it up, The next morning when I went to turn it on it didn't turn on just set there and flash a picture of three birds off and on. I couldn't even turn it off only way to stop it was to unplug it/ I called VtewSonic customer support hoping that there was a reset button. The reply was that my problem was a firmware problem and the set would have to go to the ware house to be taken fixed. They sent me the paperwork to return it (at my expense!). The set was recieved on 6-16-10 at the warehouse and today is 7-2-10 and I haven't recieved anthing from them, I have emailed them with no response. Ask me if I ever will buy ViewSonic again?
